The Fallen 50

Robert Rees

The Baker family heard about the Event for November 1st 2014 on a BBC news piece created by their reporter Ian Palmer. If they had not seen that, they would not have know.

On 1st November 2014, Penshurst held an event to commemorate the first death of a Penshurst Resident in the Great War of 1914-1918.  Coincident with this was the publication of a book “The 50” with short stories of each of the fifty who fell in that War who are on the Memorial.

You can see more details here at our site for ‘Penshurst Reflects’.
